3D proofing for packaging companies

Show your customer the assembled package — folded, finished and to scale — and collect confident approval before you commit dielines, plates or a physical sample.

Why it fits packaging

A flat dieline asks your customer to imagine the box

ProofScene shows it to them instead — assembled, finished and turning in their browser.

Folded, not flattened

See the carton assembled from its dieline — panels, tuck flaps and glue seams in proportion — instead of a flat keyline your customer has to imagine folded.

Shelf-ready finishes

Spot UV, foil stamping, embossing and soft-touch matte render the way they will look under store lighting, so premium finishes get approved as premium.

Right proportions, every time

Structure and artwork are shown to real dimensions, so a customer never approves a panel that reads differently at production size.

Fewer approval rounds

A 3D carton answers the questions a flat proof creates, which means fewer "can you show me how this looks folded?" emails.

From dieline to signed-off carton

Packaging is where a flat proof struggles most. A keyline drawing and a color breakdown tell an experienced prepress operator everything, but they ask the customer to picture folds, proportions and finishes that only exist once the package is made. That gap is where costly reprints and remakes hide.

ProofScene closes it. Starting from the artwork and structure you already proof, it builds an interactive 3D model of the finished package — tuck flaps, panels, window patches and specialty finishes in place — and gives your customer a branded link to review it from every side. When they approve, they are approving the product, not a drawing of it.

Packaging proofing, answered

What is 3D packaging proofing?

3D packaging proofing turns a flat dieline and artwork proof into an interactive 3D model of the assembled package. Your customer can rotate the carton, box or pouch, view every panel and finish, and approve it before you produce plates or cut a sample.

Can ProofScene show foil, spot UV and embossing on packaging?

Yes. ProofScene visualizes specialty finishes — foil, spot UV, embossing, debossing, varnish, matte and gloss — so premium packaging is reviewed the way it will actually appear.

Does it work from our existing dielines and proofs?

ProofScene is designed to start from the proof artwork you already produce, so a 3D package proof fits into your current prepress workflow rather than replacing it.

Is a 3D packaging proof a contract-color proof?

No. It represents structure, artwork placement, materials and finishing for visual approval. It is not a calibrated contract-color proof unless your workflow includes formal color management.

Can we send packaging proofs under our own brand?

Yes. Proof links live on your own branded subdomain with optional password protection, and enterprise plans can be fully self-hosted with no ProofScene branding.
